If you woke up and discovered that someone must have sneaked in during the night and replaced your slim, beautiful legs, then it's time to get them back! Running down the street to try to find the culprit certainly would help you start developing a new pair of beautiful legs, but there are other ways to do it! Here are some of them:
1. Lunges. Lunges with weights are even better! In this exercise, you step forward with one leg, leaving the other leg back at the original starting position. Have five pounds weight in each hand. Do at least 15 lunges per leg.
2. Jumping rope. This will surely bring out calf muscles and make them perky! Try to work up to 3 minutes.
3. Squats with a barbell bar on the shoulders. For this exercise, it's best to do it at the gym with a spotter. Start with only 10 pounds on the bar, and raise the weight to at least half your body weight within a few months. Do ten repetitions per set.
4. Leg presses. For this exercise, you'll need to use the Leg Press machine at the gym. Sit on the machine; your back will be at about a 45-degree angle. Then press down on the foot pad, tensing your legs as you do this. Release it slowly. Repeat 10 times for one set.
5. Bodybuilders do Leg Presses at other angles, too. Check for another piece of exercise equipment at the gym that can allow you to perform the same motion, but at a different angle. Do at least one set of 10 repetitions.
6. Bicycling. While you're at the health club, jump onto the stationary bicycle and start peddling off to beautiful leg land! The more exercise you can get for your legs, the quicker you can get the slim, beautiful legs of your dreams. When you pedal, it's important to cycle at different speeds. Pretend that you're pedaling on a lazy Sunday down the open highway through farmland. Then imagine the farm dogs greet you and dare you to out 'run' them. You end up outcycling the dogs and are now pedaling at regular speed.
7. Adductor / abductor exercises in the gym. The abductor machine is a machine where you sit on the seat and spread your legs back and forth. Squeeze your thighs and leg muscles when you do this exercise. The adductor machine is similar.
Every one of these exercises will give you beautiful slim legs. But you do have to commit to doing them at least four times a week.
